Any child or a teenager lives surrounded by other people - parents, carers, foster carers, professionals - adults who often need help themselves. At Terapia we believe that all Child Psychotherapists and Counsellors need to be able to work with adult clients in order to be effective.
If you haven’t trained before in adult counselling or psychotherapy you need to do this training before embarking on the Child Counselling/Psychotherapy course.
You can enter this course from any walk of life and any profession. This training will not only teach you in-depth counselling skills but will also take you on a personal journey of self discovery.
It guarantees to deepen your understanding of yourself, offers knowledge of major theories in adult psychotherapy and provides you with a wide range of counselling skills and therapeutic tools.
The course consists of 36 weekly tutorials from 7:00 - 9:45 pm. There are seven weekend seminars on Saturdays and Sundays from 10:00 am - 5:00 pm.
Assessment at the end of this course will be either by a written assignment on a topic related to the training or by some other means that shows the student's understanding of the studies they have undertaken during the year.
Students who successfully complete the training receive a Certificate in Counselling Skills and Theoretical Perspectives in Psychotherapy.
