Supervision in Adult, Child and Adolescent Psychology and Counselling

Entry Requirements

  • Previous training in a field related to psychotherapy, counselling psychology, psychiatry, coaching or social work
  • Above training taken at the minimum of Diploma level
  • Minimum of three years of post qualifying experience
  • Ability to undergo a training at a postgraduate level of competence
  • Evidence of experience of professional or personal involvement with children or adolescents in a caring capacity
  • Evidence of sufficient practice of supervision or
  • Ability to take up supervisory practice with groups and individual supervisees
  • Clear Enhanced Police Check

  • An understanding of the dynamics of interpersonal relationships, including an awareness of the social and political aspects, especially the vulnerable position of the child in society, and power and powerlessness in relationships
  • Sensitivity to issues of diversity and equal opportunities. Awareness of prejudice and commitment to non-discriminatory practice
